Artist Statement:
Having a degree in history, I am used to acting as a humanities researcher. Eventually to implement new ideas, scholarly methods began to merge with art tools, introducing elements of game and spontaneous action.
The turning point of my practice was the replacement of single-valued conclusions with open-ended reflections. I act like a director of situations, giving freedom to the course of an artistic experiment. While working together with others I become a part of the overall interaction. The scripts are taken from real life episodes, the characters are people who are not directly related to art. Their stories form the basis of my performances and multimedia projects.
My curiosity is pushing me even further to continue experimenting with social anthropology, new media and contemporary art. Moving away from decorativeness towards documentation I hybridize scholarly and artistic approaches.
